Medical Lab Technologist ASCP Certified: $30.29 - $46.73
Medical Laboratory Technician: $23.80 - $43.22
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in clinical laboratory science.
ASCP or AMT certification.

Job Description
Responsible for the processing of laboratory specimens and reporting of results in all areas of the clinical laboratory. Maintains laboratory records. Follows laboratory policies and procedures; maintains quality control practices in the Laboratory. Must be physically able to assist lifting patients, medical equipment, etc. Frequent standing, lifting, stooping, reaching, stretching. Requires good verifiable work history with references and team player attitude.
Essential Duties include but not limited to
Ability to function in all areas of the clinical laboratory: blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology.
Responsible for performing high-complexity testing.
Performs quality control procedures and instrument checks.
Demonstrates knowledge of expected lab values for the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient.
Maintains accurate laboratory records on procedures performed for statistics and billing.
Consults with other departments, as appropriate, to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities.
Interacts professionally with the Director of Clinical Laboratory, Pathologist and clinical laboratory staff.
Maintains current knowledge of hospital policy, accrediting organization, state and other regulatory requirements.
