Physician Assistant - Cardiology

Our cardiology team is expanding, and we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals.

Position Summary:The Cardiology PA-C will work in collaboration with cardiologists and other providers to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care. This role includes managing patients in the outpatient setting, inpatient consults, and post-procedural follow-up. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in cardiology, excellent clinical judgment, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed histories and physical exams
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests (EKGs, echos, stress tests, labs, etc.)
  • Assist in diagnosing and managing cardiovascular conditions (e.g., heart failure, arrhythmias, CAD)
  • Perform hospital rounds and inpatient consults as needed (No On Call Work)
  • Provide pre- and post-procedural care and patient education
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams
  • Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR system
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current NCCPA certification
  • Active and unrestricted PA license in the US Virgin Islands
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Previous experience in cardiology
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Schedule:

  • Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Occasional Saturday clinics if needed
